Abstract

The present paper explores the role of sports events and sponsorship in health promotion. With the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and the growing awareness of physical activity as a key component of public health, the integration of sports into community life has become a viable strategy for fostering a healthier population. This study examines how sports events, from local competitions to international tournaments, serve as platforms for disseminating health messages, encouraging physical activity, and promoting healthy lifestyles. Furthermore, the analysis delves into the Sponsorship aspect, investigating how corporate investments in sports can amplify the health promotion efforts. The findings suggest that sports events and sponsorships can significantly contribute to health promotion by engaging diverse demographics, raising public awareness, and providing tangible benefits such as recreational facilities and community programs. The paper concludes with recommendations for policy-makers and event organizers to maximize the health benefits associated with sports events and sponsorship initiatives.
